Daily work acquires tomographic images of designated body portions while preparing and positioning patients with accurate technical parameters. Patient pre-screening, scheduling, education, and contrast injections occur under radiologist supervision with strict MRI safety compliance.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
Ability to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians and nursing personnel.
Ability to maintain a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in MRI exams.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all written and oral communications including email.
Skills in technical data interpretation.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or MR - Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT within 1 Year or ARMRIT within 1 Year.

Responsibilities

Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Acquire or produce tomographic images of designated portions of the human body using magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS including image quality and patient data.
Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Perform contrast injections under the direct supervision of the radiologist or designated physician.
Fulfill on-call requirements as needed by the department.
