About this role
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are seeking a full-time BC/BE Interventional Radiologist fellowship trained in vascular and interventional radiology. Join a well-established, collegial practice of subspecialty-trained and general radiologists in the Department of Radiology. This academic position is at the Assistant or Associate level.
The role combines teaching and patient care while performing a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures. It emphasizes providing vitally important leadership and guidance to medical students and residents. Participate in an IR integrated residency with early specialization in interventional radiology.
Our health sciences center is home to the School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies, and School of Allied Health Professions with a robust research enterprise. It is home to the only Level I Trauma center in the surrounding region. Physician leadership and input exist at all levels of administration, utilizing the EPIC medical record platform.

Requirements
- BC/BE Interventional Radiologist
- Fellowship trained in vascular and interventional radiology
- Assistant or Associate level position
- Experience in a collegial practice of subspecialty-trained radiologists
- Ability to perform full spectrum of interventional procedures
Responsibilities
- Perform a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures
- Combine teaching and patient care
- Emphasize teaching and provide leadership and guidance to medical students and residents
- Participate in an IR integrated residency with early specialization in interventional radiology
- Interpret 5,000 studies performed annually
- Contribute to patient care in a Level I Trauma center
