About this role

Reporting to the Executive Director of Radiology/Imaging with accountability to the Manager and under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist I receives and prepares patients. Operates computerized, non-invasive scanning equipment to provide computerized tomography (CT) radiographic scans. These scans aid radiologists and physicians in diagnosing injuries and studying body systems.

Full-time position offers 36 hours weekly at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. Schedule includes Monday-Friday from 3pm to 11pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. Focuses on delivering quality imaging in a Magnet-recognized hospital environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited school in Radiologic Technology, preferred
  • Candidate for ARRT (R) certification; must complete exam and register within six months of start date
  • ARRT (CT) certification required within one year of start date
  • Current IEMA license
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Receive and prepare patients for CT procedures
  • Operate computerized, non-invasive CT scanning equipment
  • Provide computerized tomography (CT) radiographic scans
  • Assist radiologists and physicians in diagnosing patient injuries
  • Study body systems through CT imaging
  • Follow direction from Radiologist during scans
  • Maintain proper body mechanics during patient handling
