As an MRI Technologist, perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for disease diagnosis. Safely obtain quality diagnostic studies according to department procedures.
Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions before procedures. Set up equipment, position patients, and ensure proper patient identification. Administer contrast media following established procedures to prevent patient deterioration or undue pain.
Review images for clinically acceptable results, release patients, and respond to emergency situations. Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed and observe patient conditions requiring physician intervention. Verify patient identity, maintain privacy, comfort, and dignity throughout exams.
Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate procedures, sterile technique, and pre/post-procedural care. Organize schedule and priorities effectively while using critical thinking skills. Seek clarification on ambiguous orders to ensure high-quality patient care.

- Review images for clinically acceptable results and releases patients
- Respond to emergency situations and assist other technologists in all modalities
- Verify correct identity of patient and ensures patient's privacy and comfort
- Demonstrate sterile technique, preps patient and prepares trays for procedures
