About this role
At the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Manager, and the clinical direction of the Radiologist, the MRI Xray Tech independently performs procedures with minimum supervision. Flexibility to cross train in other Diagnostic Imaging modalities is expected based upon departmental staffing needs.
On the job training will be performed under the supervision of a radiologist. Employees who are cross-trained in more than one DI modality are responsible for all aspects of the job descriptions in each separate modality. Competencies must be kept at adequate levels of performance for each area.
We are seeking an MRI & Xray Tech to join our Radiology Team where you will experience a welcoming environment and strong commitment to teamwork. This position is scheduled for shifts Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5pm with one scheduled day off during each two-week pay period.
We are open to new graduates seeking their first career opportunity. Rotating weekends are for an on-call rotation only every 5th weekend. Cross training opportunities support professional development across multiple modalities.
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- Vermont State license required
- Advanced MRI Certification preferred
- Ability to maintain competencies across multiple modalities
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Responsibilities
- Independently performs MRI imaging procedures with minimum supervision
- Cross trains in other Diagnostic Imaging modalities based on departmental staffing needs
- Maintains competencies in each modality at adequate levels of performance
- Completes necessary documentation including certification renewals on a yearly basis
- Performs all aspects of job descriptions in each separate modality when cross-trained
- Participates in on-call rotation every 5th weekend
