About this role
Fortius Clinic, the UK’s leading private centre for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bank Radiographer to join its expanding Imaging team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a radiographer looking to develop specialist experience in orthopaedic imaging within a dynamic, high-performing clinical environment.
The radiographer will primarily support theatre II sessions, delivering high-quality imaging with a focus on theatre image intensifier work. They will also provide X-ray services across multiple sites and assist with MRI and CT patient positioning, with access to a structured training programme for full competency in both modalities over approximately 18 months.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across state-of-the-art facilities including Fortius Marylebone, London, City, Wimbledon, and the Surgical Centre. The imaging fleet includes advanced MRI, CT, and X-ray systems, with a DEXA scanner coming soon.
This role offers a structured training and development pathway in MRI and CT, enabling full competency over 18 months. You will work with elite athletes, VIP patients, and complex orthopaedic cases in a supportive environment with strong clinical leadership.
Requirements
- Qualified Radiographer with current HCPC registration
- Strong interest in orthopaedic and sports imaging
- High professional and technical standards
- Flexible and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a varied patient group
- Ability to work across multiple sites and adapt to different imaging environments
- Experience or willingness to develop skills in theatre imaging and MRI/CT positioning
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality imaging with a focus on theatre image intensifier (II) work
- Provide X-ray services across all Fortius Clinic sites
- Assist with MRI and CT patient positioning, working towards full competency in both modalities
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support workflow coordination and occasionally supervise bank/agency staff
- Contribute to service delivery, audit, governance, and continuous improvement
- Operate advanced imaging systems with precision and care
