The Cath Lab Technologist III is accountable for supervision of room staff performance, coordination of the room schedule, and communication with the Cath Lab management team to ensure efficient utilization of resources.

This position performs circulating, scrub, and monitoring duties for invasive cardiology procedures while demonstrating understanding of all invasive procedures, equipment, supplies, and indications for each procedure.

The role focuses on assuring optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety during every case.

Requirements

Preferred Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Radiology
1 year in x-ray technologist Preferred
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification upon hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association within 1 year
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 90 days

Responsibilities

Supervise the room staff's performance and coordinate the room's schedule
Communicate with the Cath Lab management team to ensure efficient resource utilization
Perform circulating, scrub, and monitoring duties for invasive cardiology procedures
Interpret data gathered during procedures and recognize potential implications or complications
Operate physiologic recorder/database system with expertise in recognizing arrhythmias and waveforms
Collaborate with room staff and schedule coordinator to maximize department productivity
Train and educate new employees in the cardiac catheterization lab
Operate radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures and assist the Provider
