About this role

The CT Technologist operates computed tomography equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging from adolescence through geriatric. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information while adhering to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA if operates fluoroscopy equipment
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Preferred in CA
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA
Responsibilities
