About this role

The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a Board Eligible/Certified full-time faculty pediatric interventional radiologist for its Pediatric Radiology Division. Qualified applicants should have interventional radiology training and prior clinical experience appropriate for our dynamic and growing practice. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.

This position involves working with radioactive materials or devices. The pediatric interventional radiology group provides staffing for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta system and delivers daily clinical services at Arthur M. Blank and Scottish Rite Hospitals. It covers nearly 800 pediatric hospital beds across the enterprise.

The Department comprises a large multi-specialty collaborative faculty and is one of the preeminent academic radiology departments in the nation. Emory Healthcare is a high-quality care provider in the Southeast. State-of-the-art clinical equipment and extensive research facilities and collaborations are present.

Employment will be in the Emory + Children’s Pediatric Institute with a faculty appointment in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. The Institute combines strengths in clinical care, innovative research, and education to transform pediatrics. The new Arthur M. Blank Hospital features four new interventional radiology suites.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Certified in Radiology
  • Interventional radiology training
  • Prior clinical experience appropriate for dynamic and growing practice
  • Training in pediatric interventional radiology
  • Experience suitable for faculty appointment
  • Ability to work in high-volume pediatric health system

Responsibilities

  • Provide interventional radiology staffing for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta system
  • Deliver daily clinical services at Arthur M. Blank and Scottish Rite Hospitals
  • Work with radioactive materials or devices
  • Perform pediatric interventional radiology procedures in a dynamic growing practice
  • Contribute to coverage of nearly 800 pediatric hospital beds
  • Utilize state-of-the-art clinical equipment for image-guided interventions
  • Participate in multi-specialty collaborative faculty activities
