About this role

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT)
• Ability to perform radiographic and CT imaging procedures
• Knowledge of contrast media reactions and emergency intervention including CPR
• Familiarity with processing exam information and clerical operations
• Understanding of radiation safety protocols and minimization techniques
• Compliance with corporate policies, OSHA regulations, and quality assurance processes

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray and CT procedures as prescribed by a physician
• Instruct patients as to proper physiological requirements for procedures and administer barium as needed
• Recognize reactions to contrast media and intervene by administering CPR when necessary
• Assure all necessary consent forms are signed prior to performing examinations
• Actively participate in the quality assurance monitoring and recording efforts
• Reduce radiation exposure using proper technical factors, collimation, and shielding
• Report equipment malfunctions and perform preventative or corrective maintenance
• Promote team approach and positive image through exceptional customer service
