About this role
The Clinical Lead Cardiac Sonographer functions as the Technical Lead of the Echocardiography Outpatient Department at 2 Bon Air while also performing echocardiograms and all related testing. This role combines hands-on clinical work with supervisory responsibilities in an outpatient setting.
Day-to-day duties include providing general supervision of technical staff at offsite outpatient testing centers, delegating specific responsibilities, and overseeing departmental scheduling and recordkeeping. The lead also manages operation and maintenance of facility equipment and ensures staff compliance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards.

Requirements
- Associates Degree required; Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Minimum of two years of recent echo experience in an acute care setting
- Must have worked under guidelines of the Intersocietal Accreditation Society and the American Society of Echocardiography
- Demonstrated clinical expertise with transthoracic and stress echocardiography
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, RDCS
- Current BLS
- Knowledge of safe practices and adherence to company and departmental policies and procedures
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of ultrasound equipment, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, and electronic medical records (DICOM and PACS)
Responsibilities
- Function as Technical Lead of the Echocardiography Outpatient Department at 2 Bon Air
- Perform echocardiograms and all related testing
- Provide general supervision of technical staff at offsite outpatient testing centers
- Delegate specific responsibilities to technical staff
- Oversee departmental scheduling and recordkeeping
- Oversee operation and maintenance of facility equipment
- Ensure compliance of staff to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Standards
- Work with Medical Director and medical staff to ensure quality patient care and appropriate technical training
