About this role

Macquarie Medical Imaging is expanding and seeks multiple Radiographers to join its growing service at Macquarie University Hospital. The roles form part of Australia's only university-owned academically integrated healthcare organisation and support high-quality diagnostic imaging across a busy hospital setting.

Reporting to the Lead Radiographer, you will perform general radiography examinations according to departmental protocols while maintaining radiation safety and infection control standards. A rotating roster includes on-call duties as service needs require.

You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes radiologists, referrers and nursing staff. The department is fully integrated with Macquarie University Hospital and continues to grow in line with increasing clinical demand.

Structured development pathways are available to broaden scope into CT, MRI, Angiography and Mammography. Ongoing education and career progression are actively supported within the academically integrated environment.

Requirements

  • Technically strong in general radiography
  • Patient-focused approach to care
  • Motivated by continuous learning and skill development
  • Ability to maintain radiation safety and infection control standards
  • Capacity to work within a rotating roster including on-call duties

Responsibilities

  • Performing high-quality general radiography examinations in line with departmental protocols and best practice
  • Delivering safe, compassionate patient care and clear communication throughout the patient journey
  • Ensuring radiation safety, screening and infection control standards are maintained at all times
  • Collaborating with radiologists, referrers, nurses and the wider imaging team to support timely reporting
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to continuous quality improvement activities
  • Participating in an on-call roster as required
