About this role

As a CT Technologist at Cleveland Clinic's Bath Health and Wellness Center, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues. Utilizing your advanced training, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate the equipment to capture appropriate images.

You will acquire patient chart data and requisition, review for correct room setup and identify contraindications. Educate patients on the procedure and equipment to ensure cooperation. Maintain all CT area aspects, including technical and clerical components, to ensure quality assurance.

This role is critical in patient treatment, making you an invaluable asset. You may work weekend shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM) with potential weekday hours. You could also float between Bath, Green, and Stow locations for diverse experience.

Requirements

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) or CT is required.
  • State of Ohio Radiologic License is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Ability to work weekend shifts (6:30am-7:00pm or 6:30pm-7:00am).
  • Experience with CT equipment and imaging procedures.
  • Knowledge of contrast administration and patient positioning techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire patient chart data and requisition, reviewing to determine correct room setup and identify specific medical problems, contraindications, and verify study correlates to diagnostic needs.
  • Educate patients regarding the procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area including technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance and required documentation.
  • Produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues.
  • Accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate equipment, and position the patient to capture appropriate images.
  • Provide primarily weekend coverage, working either 6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM shifts.
  • Float between Bath, Green, and Stow locations based on departmental needs and caregiver availability.
