About this role

Due to exciting changes within the trust over the last 18 months, we are looking for an experienced CT/MRI Senior Radiographer to join our hard-working, dynamic senior team. The Radiology department has replaced many of its modalities and dramatically increased in size, allowing exciting new opportunities. We are a forward-thinking department carrying out a wide range of MRI and CT examinations, including routine scans and specialised MRI techniques.

Based at Lymington New Forest Hospital, the department is equipped with a Canon Genesis CT scanner and a new Siemens Altea 1.5T MRI scanner. We operate an extended day service across 7 days a week with no on-call requirement for cross sectional imaging. Staff enjoy free on-site parking and a comfortable, bright staff room with outdoor seating in summer.

Support the current CT/MRI lead radiographer with senior duties like completing and monitoring the electronic rostering system, leading HR processes, and managing staff competency records. Actively lead improvements in image optimisation and radiation safety. Plan and perform CT/MRI imaging to a high level of expertise, adapting techniques to optimise image quality.

Prioritise and coordinate workload and resources for efficient patient management while supervising the multi-skilled radiographic team.
