Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Radiography Program
- One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
- Associate degree or above preferred
- License in Radiography (R) within Florida
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration in Radiography
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration in Computed Tomography (CT) within 18 months of start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of start date
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality images that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology
- Operate CT scanners to capture diagnostic images according to protocol
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging results
- Apply radiation safety and protection measures during all procedures
- Prepare patients and explain CT examinations as required
- Administer contrast agents when indicated and monitor patient response
- Maintain and calibrate CT equipment to ensure consistent performance
- Document exam details and collaborate with radiologists on image quality
