Los Gatos, US · Part-time · $140,000 – $178,000

About this role

As a CT Technologist at El Camino Health, you collaborate with the healthcare team to promote optimum imaging procedures. You provide imaging services as defined by Title 17 and Title 22 for California, applying principles of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and modification of patient imaging care.

Your day-to-day duties involve performing CT scanning procedures, including instructing patients and selecting techniques. You position and immobilize patients, limit radiation exposure, and explain exams in an informative yet reassuring way. You also perform QA on all images before sending to PACS and accurately complete documentation.

The schedule requires rotation for weekend, holiday, and call coverage, with possible rotation to other campuses. At the Los Gatos campus, the hospital is a Designated Primary Stroke Center, which may involve on-duty meal periods. Additionally, CT Technologists perform diagnostic X-ray based on departmental needs.

Stay current with CT developments through professional journals, on-the-job training, and educational opportunities. Maintain clinical competency via continuing education and ongoing modality updates. You participate in training and onboarding of new team members, fellows, interns, students, and engage in peer competency review.
