About this role

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. This role requires performing at least three advanced procedures such as biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations or fiducial placement.

Prepares and positions patients while selecting accurate anatomic and technical parameters. Administers contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and observes patients during procedures to report abnormal activity and monitor protocols.

Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines while working in a constant state of alertness. The position operates at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in a regular full-time capacity with weekend scheduling of three twelve-hour shifts.

Cross training is available along with 100 percent tuition support for additional certifications. Relocation assistance is offered for qualified applicants seeking to advance their imaging career.

Requirements

Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program.
ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
ARRT-CT Computed Tomography certification required within 12 months of hire.
Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from American Heart Association.
No experience required; cross training can be provided.
