Select Specialty Hospital - Madison is a critical illness recovery hospital providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services. The CT Technologist supports extended healing for chronic, critically ill patients during vulnerable moments. The technologist prepares patients for diagnostic procedures and operates the CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images. Proper positioning and technical factors ensure consistent quality studies while contrast media is administered as directed. Routine quality assurance maintains equipment performance and identifies basic issues promptly.
Work occurs within a specialized hospital environment focused on extended recovery for complex patients. The setting demands precise imaging support alongside monitoring for any adverse events during procedures. Clerical tasks such as answering phones are handled as needed to maintain workflow.

Requirements
- At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license as required.
- At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist not including school.
- Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
- Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
- Use proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
- Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
- Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
- Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
- Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones as needed.
