Works under minimal supervision with physicians to perform ultrasound imaging exams. Handles exam protocols, accreditation, operations, and facilitation of equipment maintenance. Focuses on inpatient ultrasound sonography in a high-volume hospital setting.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or graduate of an accredited sonography program
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification, or obtain RVT within 6 months of hire
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by first day of employment
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- 2 years experience in ultrasound (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound imaging exams under minimal supervision with physicians
- Execute exam protocols for inpatient procedures
- Maintain accreditation standards for ultrasound operations
- Facilitate equipment maintenance and operations
- Prepare and position patients for inpatient ultrasound scans
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Assist physicians in interpreting ultrasound results
- Respond to on-call duties for urgent inpatient imaging
