Requirements

Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or graduate of an accredited sonography program
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification, or obtain RVT within 6 months of hire
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by first day of employment
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
2 years experience in ultrasound (preferred)

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound imaging exams under minimal supervision with physicians
Execute exam protocols for inpatient procedures
Maintain accreditation standards for ultrasound operations
Facilitate equipment maintenance and operations
Prepare and position patients for inpatient ultrasound scans
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images
Assist physicians in interpreting ultrasound results
Respond to on-call duties for urgent inpatient imaging
