Schedule includes 90% FTE, 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday day shift with variable start times. At the UWH location, Saturday and Sunday shifts 8:00AM–4:30PM on a reasonable rotational basis. Participate in one hour call response time at UWH only, in rotation with other sonographers, supporting coverage across the Madison area.

Support a robust structural heart program with procedures including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation, and alcohol septal ablation. Join the Cardiovascular Imaging Lab accredited by the IAC in both Echo and Vascular Imaging. Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and several clinics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ultrasonography program
  • Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS, RDCS, RVT, or RVS)
  • Basic Life Support/CPR
  • Completion of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasonography training program (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or relevant health sciences field (preferred)
  • Two (2) years of cardiovascular imaging experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide optimal cardiovascular imaging experience using echocardiography and vascular ultrasound
  • Support robust structural heart program procedures including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements
  • Perform imaging for Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures
  • Cover shifts across Madison area locations including Level 1 Trauma Center and clinics
  • Participate in rotational weekend shifts 8:00AM–4:30PM at UWH
  • Respond to on-call duties within one hour at UWH in rotation with other sonographers
  • Collaborate with health care professionals to enhance patient, family, and visitor experiences
