Facilities include Bridgton Hospital, Central Maine Medical Center, and Rumford Hospital. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs patient assessments and uses ultrasound to produce high-quality diagnostic information.
Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound with independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods. Provide a summary of findings to the physician or health care provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Optimize patient care in the Diagnostic Ultrasound department on days, per diem, 8-hour shifts.
Bridgton Hospital is nestled in Maine’s Lake Region among scenic lakes, mountains, and forests. The area offers year-round outdoor recreation, ski slopes at Pleasant Mountain Ski Area, and access to historical sites. It is 40 minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire, and an hour from Portland.

Requirements
- Prefer two years of radiologic/imaging experience
- Specific experience and training in Ultrasound and proficient knowledge of Ultrasound Equipment
- ARDMS Registered or ARDMS candidate
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-approved school of Ultrasonography, or has received education and clinical experience and demonstrated competence to obtain appropriate ARDMS certification within a year of hire preferred
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
