About this role

Join the University of Utah's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences as a CAQ-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-growing Interventional Radiology division that provides comprehensive offerings in interventional oncology, intricate transplant procedures, and advanced hepatobiliary interventions.

In this role, you will perform a broad spectrum of IR techniques and protocols, including complex vascular work involving arterial, venous, and pulmonary systems. Clinical services are delivered at two key locations: the University Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, an NCI-designated premier cancer center.

You will join a team of seven physicians and ten Advanced Practice Providers, working within five state-of-the-art Angio-suites with additional expansions underway. The division also collaborates with the Utah VA Medical Center for its Integrated and Independent IR Residency programs.

Academic appointment will be made at a level suitable to your qualifications, ranging from assistant to associate to full professor. The department offers cutting-edge imaging modalities and research opportunities through the Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research, including MR-guided Focused Ultrasound and a specialized research C-arm for pre-clinical studies.

Requirements

  • CAQ-certified in Interventional Radiology
  • Fellowship-trained in Interventional Radiology
  • Proficient in a broad spectrum of IR techniques and protocols
  • Exemplary clinical acumen and interpersonal aptitude
  • Portfolio of prior scholarly contributions preferred
  • Ability to align with the broader objectives of the department and institution

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad spectrum of interventional radiology techniques and protocols
  • Deliver high-quality clinical services at University Hospital and Huntsman Cancer Hospital
  • Provide interventional oncology, transplant, hepatobiliary, and complex vascular interventions
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the IR division
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary liver cancer and liver transplant clinics
  • Engage in scholarly contributions and research activities
  • Utilize advanced imaging modalities including MR, dual-energy CT, and PET-CT for clinical and investigative work
  • Collaborate with the Utah VA Medical Center for IR residency training programs
