About this role

At Atrium Health Lake Norman, we are seeking a CT Technologist I to perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. This role operates CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, including post processing stations, IV contrast injectors, and patient monitoring equipment.

Day-to-day, you will examine requests and verify orders, ensuring each scan is performed safely and accurately. You will work with a collaborative, inclusive, and patient-centered team that values clear communication, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating CT Scanners and associated equipment
  • Ability to perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
  • Experience with IV contrast injectors and patient monitoring equipment
  • Knowledge of post processing stations and programs
  • Ability to examine requests and verify medical orders
  • Certification as a CT Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Examine requests and verify orders for each procedure
  • Operate CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency
  • Utilize post processing stations and programs to enhance image quality
  • Administer IV contrast injectors and monitor patient response
  • Operate O2 and suction equipment as needed during procedures
  • Transport patients and monitor their condition throughout the scan
  • Maintain patient monitoring equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed
