As a CT Tech I, you will operate imaging equipment to perform procedures for a specified patient population, using appropriate technical and safety methods. You will manage resources like supplies and equipment efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
Medical Radiation Technologist license from Mississippi State Department of Health (required)
Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) credential from ARRT (required)
Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT (preferred)
Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures
Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers
Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, PACS preferred)

Responsibilities

Operates CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images for a specified patient population
Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods
Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and policies
Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment in a productive manner
Prepares and administers contrast media as needed for imaging procedures
Positions patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring comfort and safety
Performs other job functions as assigned
