You will perform thorough patient assessments, develop personalized care plans, and document accurately in electronic records. Your role includes recognizing cultural differences and individualizing care for each patient and family.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, delegate appropriately using the Synergy Model of Care, and take on developing leadership duties such as Charge Nurse responsibilities. You will assist in orienting staff and students, demonstrating strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Engage in professional growth through ongoing mentorship, leadership programs, and quality improvement initiatives. You will collect and analyze data to improve patient care, meeting organizational standards while maintaining clinical lattice requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years, OR an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years.
- Current LPNs employed within Emory Healthcare who complete an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure are eligible; Emory LPNs enrolled in an ADN program as of 3/30/2025 must complete an ADN-to-BSN program within two years of entering the RN Clinician role.
- A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS may be required for certain departments post-hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on department and specialty.
- If completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice, additional licensure may be needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and recognize the impact of nursing care on outcomes.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, incorporating patient and family input and adjusting as needed.
- Document care accurately and efficiently in electronic and physical records.
- Identify patient and family learning needs and recommend appropriate resources.
- Delegate appropriately using the Synergy Model of Care and work effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Function in a developing leadership role, including Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned.
- Collect, report, and analyze data to improve patient care and meet organizational standards.
