About this role

Hennepin Healthcare seeks a full-time Nurse Manager for Radiology and Cath Lab with additional leadership duties in the Heart & Vascular Service Line. The role reports to the Director of Radiology / HVSL at a 473-bed academic medical center that includes Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Centers.

The manager plans, organizes, coordinates, evaluates, and directs nursing service activities under the Patient and Family-Centered Care model. This includes implementing the organization's vision, mission, core values, and evidence-based practice standards within assigned areas.

Work occurs across an integrated system that features primary care clinics, a large outpatient center, psychiatric programs, home care, research institute, and Hennepin EMS. The environment prioritizes equity by removing barriers related to racism, poverty, and gender identity.

Leadership supports staff accountability for patient care decisions while maintaining compliance with organizational standards. The position offers the opportunity to shape nursing practice in specialized imaging and procedural settings.

Requirements

  • Current RN license required
  • Experience managing nursing services in radiology or procedural areas
  • Ability to assess staffing needs based on patient acuity
  • Demonstrated skill in developing systems that support patient care delivery
  • Commitment to equitable care and eliminating barriers due to racism or other determinants of health

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, hires, and evaluates nursing unit staff
  • Exhibits leadership behaviors that support staff to take responsibility, authority, and accountability for decision making related to patient care
  • Develops, maintains and evaluates systems and processes to facilitate the delivery of patient care
  • Assures adequate staffing consistent with patient acuity and assessment of staffing efficiencies
  • Monitors and ensures unit staff understands and complies with organizational policies
  • Provides nursing leadership support within the Heart & Vascular Service Line
  • Implements evidence-based practice and standards of the organization
