About this role
GD Resources is seeking Board-Certified Interventional Radiologists to provide world-class care to Veterans at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. This role involves performing a wide range of complex IR procedures in an ACR-accredited facility. Selected physicians will serve as attending physicians, overseeing and mentoring residents per ACGME guidelines.
Day-to-day duties include conducting a full spectrum of IR interventions such as angiography, biopsy, embolization, TIPS placement, and Y90 radioembolization. Provide on-call coverage for weeknights, weekends, and Federal holidays, responding on-site within 45 minutes for emergencies. Deliver unscheduled coverage for VA staff radiologists within 2 hours.
Work in a VA medical center environment with medical residents, ensuring compliance with Residency Review Committee standards. Obtain VA clinical privileges to function as an attending physician. Maintain all services in strict accordance with American College of Radiology guidelines.

Requirements
- Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
- MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine
- Valid, unrestricted medical license with ability to obtain VA clinical privileges
- Meet ACGME requirements to supervise and teach physician residents
- Ability to meet 45-minute emergency on-site response requirement
Responsibilities
- Perform a full spectrum of IR interventions including angiography, biliary intervention, balloon angioplasty/stent placement, biopsy, chemoembolization, cholecystostomy, cryoablation, drain insertions, dialysis access interventions, embolization, gastrostomy, IVC filters, kyphoplasty, line insertion, microwave ablation, Y90 radioembolization, radiofrequency ablation, thrombolysis, TIPS placement, and nephrostomy placement
- Provide on-call coverage for weeknights, weekends, and Federal holidays with on-site response within 45 minutes for emergency procedures
- Serve as attending physician for medical residents, ensuring compliance with Residency Review Committee standards
