In this role, you will perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images. You will work independently operating imaging and radiographic equipment safely, adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required
  • ARRT-R (Radiography)
  • ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images
  • Work independently operating imaging and radiographic equipment safely, adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly
  • Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam
  • Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety
  • Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit
  • Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable
  • Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated; review images for diagnostic acceptability
