About this role
The Field Service Engineer delivers technical support and maintenance for Cath Lab and X Ray systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations. This role documents detailed service activities and prepares for service visits to achieve first-visit resolution, working under direct supervision.
The engineer executes moderately complex service tasks, participates in corrective maintenance, and completes PM schedules within stipulated timeframes. They also implement field change orders and act as a support resource to other FSEs for their designated area.
The role supports business growth by identifying sales opportunities and value-added services. The engineer coordinates spare parts sales with customers and assists the territory manager and operations manager. They also manage strategic key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
The engineer continuously expands product knowledge to maintain high standards of technical expertise. They identify opportunities for system upgrades and promote them to customers. The role also involves tracking product quality issues and escalating field problems through proper reports.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with medical imaging equipment, specifically Cath Lab and X Ray systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for moderately complex service tasks.
- Ability to document service activities and prepare for visits to achieve first-visit resolution.
- Knowledge of service delivery processes and compliance with safety standards.
- Customer-facing skills to manage key accounts and identify sales opportunities.
- Willingness to travel within Pune and Nagpur territory.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical support and maintenance services including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations for Cath Lab and X Ray systems.
- Document detailed service activities and prepare for service visits to achieve first-visit resolution.
- Participate in corrective maintenance and complete PM schedules within stipulated timeframes.
- Implement field change orders (FCOs) and act as a support resource to other FSEs.
- Coordinate spare parts sales with customers and assist territory manager and operations manager.
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades and promote them to customers.
- Manage strategic key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain uptime records.
- Escalate issues timely and track product quality issues through Field Problem Reports.
