About this role

This position is for a board-eligible or board-certified Interventional Radiologist to join Sol Radiology, partnered with Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, CA. The role focuses exclusively on interventional procedures with no diagnostic imaging responsibilities.

Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with no calls, no nights, and no weekends. You will perform bread-and-butter cases including image-guided biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, peripheral angiography, venous access, and embolization procedures.

Neuro and complex oncology IR cases are not required but are available if you desire. You will work in a collaborative environment with a dedicated support team at a community hospital approximately 45 minutes from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga.

Employment options include 1099 or W2 status. Locums coverage begins March 1, 2026, with an hourly rate of $400–$450. A full-time position offers an annual salary of $600,000–$700,000, commensurate with experience, plus a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology residency or fellowship
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Interventional Radiology (ABR or equivalent)
  • Eligible for or currently licensed in California
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform image-guided biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, peripheral angiography, venous access, and embolization procedures
  • Handle 100% interventional radiology cases with no diagnostic reads
  • Work a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM with no calls, nights, or weekends
  • Manage typical bread-and-butter procedures without required neuro or complex oncology IR involvement
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
