About this role
Join SSM Health at St. Louis University Hospital as a CT Technologist, where it's more than a career—it's a calling. In this role, you will perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury, following protocols established by radiologists.
Your day-to-day work involves preparing and positioning patients, selecting accurate anatomic and technical parameters, and administering contrast media or medications within your scope of practice. You will observe patients during procedures, report abnormal activity, and monitor protocols to recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
You will work in a constant state of alertness, following radiation safety procedures and guidelines. This position requires performing at least three of the following advanced procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement.

Requirements
- Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy program.
- ARRT-R Radiography, ARRT-T Radiation Therapy, ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or CNMT certification.
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography or CT Credential from NMTCB.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association.
- State-specific licensure: IEMA Radiologic Technologists (Illinois) or equivalent for Missouri/Oklahoma.
- No prior experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
- Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
- Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs at least three of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Benefits
- Sign-on bonus up to $20,000, payable within 30 days of start date.
- Daily Pay available.
- Shift differentials: Evening $2.50/hr, Night $3/hr, Weekend $2/hr, Weekend Option $7.50/hr.
