About this role

This position operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. The role involves explaining procedures to patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties are performed per approved protocol.

Daily work includes obtaining patient clinical history, reviewing lab values, and screening for allergies to determine contraindications. Staff administer oral and IV contrast media while operating CT scanners across multiple procedure types. Workload is coordinated with other clinical sections and departments.

As a High Reliability Organization, the focus remains on safety, quality, and efficiency in all patient care functions. The position monitors quality standards while supporting imaging needs across the float pool. Collaboration with radiologists and clinical teams ensures consistent protocol adherence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • ARRT certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Ohio Radiologic License from Ohio Department of Health
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association
