About this role

HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital is seeking a PRN Vascular Sonographer II or III to join our team. Prepares and performs various sonography studies per protocol and as ordered per the provider. Processes studies including preparation for interpretation by the physician and preliminary test results.

Provides patient care in accordance with standards of care specific to age and individuals' needs. Coordinates department QA initiatives and maintains required competencies. Develops departmental and/or community wide educational activities.

Responsible for facilitating the national accreditation process in the Cardiology department's Imaging core function. Joins a team at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital built on core values of respect, care, competence, and joy. Serves communities across 13 hospitals in Illinois and Wisconsin with 13,000+ colleagues.

Focus remains on the patient amid continual improvements in processes, procedures, and outcomes using advanced technologies. Compensation aligned with experience, pay range $37.71 - $56.57 based on relevant factors. PRN schedule in days supports work-life balance in a patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • 4 years of vascular ultrasound/sonography experience is required
  • 7 years of sonography/ultrasound experience (with 2 years in vascular sonography/ultrasound) is required if meeting the education equivalency
  • Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
