About this role

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Cardiovascular Sonographer to join the diagnostic Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will display a drive to provide patient-centered experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our patients.

Perform cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound scans including Transthoracic echo with and without contrast, Transesophageal Echo, Pediatric Echo, and Carotid Duplex. Follow the American Society of Echocardiography and Saint Mary’s Echo Lab Pathology/Complete TTE protocols. Contribute to efficient operations of the SMH Cardiology section.

Requirements

  • Completion of Certified Cardiac Ultrasound program
  • RDCS Certification or CCI (current or pending)
  • BLS certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures
  • Ability to perform diagnostic echocardiograms and vascular studies
  • Familiarity with echo lab protocols and pathology recognition

Responsibilities

  • Performs cardiac ultrasound scans including Transthoracic echo with and without contrast
  • Performs Transesophageal Echo
  • Performs Pediatric Echo and Carotid Duplex
  • Follows American Society of Echocardiography protocols
  • Follows Saint Mary’s Echo Lab Pathology/Complete TTE protocols
  • Contributes to efficient operations of the SMH Cardiology section
  • Ensures the quality and continuity of patient care
