About this role
Foundation Health Partners is looking for a full-time Vascular Sonographer to join the Vascular team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Alaska's 'Golden Heart City'. This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. It ensures optimal care and treatment to patient population.
Preferred candidates will have 2 years of experience and national certification as RVT with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or RVS with Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Vascular imaging experience is highly preferred. Make your move to Alaska for midnight sun, northern lights, and Alaskan lifestyle.
Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders using independent judgment according to established policy and procedures. Educates patients and families regarding procedure and treatment. Produces high quality images and prepares documentation for timely interpretation.

Requirements
- 2 years of experience preferred
- National certification as RVT with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- National certification as RVS with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Vascular imaging experience highly preferred
- Ability to perform prescribed vascular ultrasound procedures
- Knowledge of department/facility policies, procedures and protocols
- Independent judgment and application of learned methodologies
Responsibilities
- Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders using independent judgment according to established policy and procedures
- Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed and demonstrates professional behavior
- Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
- Prepares and maintains accurate documentation
- Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies
- Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots to maintain equipment performance
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors and adheres to safety policies
