About this role

A Radiographer operates radiographic equipment and cares for patient needs while they are in the Radiology Department of CarolinaEast Internal Medicine. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient comfort and safety during exams.

The Radiographer will position patients correctly, operate X-ray and other imaging equipment, and ensure radiation safety protocols are followed. Daily tasks include preparing examination rooms, verifying patient identification, and maintaining patient records.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Science.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
  • Knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
  • Ability to operate and maintain radiographic equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
  • Physical ability to assist and position patients.

  • Operate radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Care for patient needs while they are in the Radiology Department, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to capture required images.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment.
  • Verify patient identification and exam orders before procedures.
