About this role
Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment specialist recruiting Allied Health Professionals for long and short-term locum roles throughout the UK. They are working in partnership with the Northern Health & Social Care Trust for Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographers to work within a busy hospital setting. Locum positions range from 3 months to 2 years.
Shifts run 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, plus an out of hours rota. Enhanced pay rates apply for overtime and unsocial hours worked. This structure supports a demanding yet rewarding pace in medical imaging.

Requirements
- HCPC Registered Diagnostic Radiographer
- UK based radiography experience (paid or uni placement)
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Proficiency in general diagnostic radiography
- Ability to work in busy hospital environments
- Experience with out of hours shifts
- Knowledge of UK healthcare radiography protocols
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging in a busy hospital setting
- Work 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday
- Participate in out of hours rota
- Operate X-ray and other imaging equipment
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures
- Ensure radiation safety and image quality
- Contribute to multidisciplinary radiology teams
- Adapt to varying locum contract lengths from 3 months to 2 years
