About this role

The MRI technologist is a professional responsible for producing quality MR images while providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety. This role maintains a patient-centered focus and supports the mission of Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and its Radiology Department.

MRI technologists participate in on-going training and education relating to positioning, technique, and MRI safety guidelines. They apply analytical ability to evaluate information and make decisions, operate radiographic equipment, and maintain vigilance for patient safety while standing for long periods.

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, it provides a wide variety of services comparable to a big city, with a friendly and caring staff.

The MRI technologist participates in on-going training and education to refine skills in positioning, technique, and safety guidelines. They assume other responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the patient-centered mission of the hospital, with opportunities to grow within a supportive rural healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, vigilance and meticulous care on the job.
  • Passion for keeping people safe.
  • Ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology or MR Imaging.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from American Heart Association upon hire; Radiography (R) ARRT required; Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) ARRT within 180 days.

  • Ensure strong attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulous care on the job.
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
