Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team in Lawrenceville, GA. We are passionate about giving high-risk expectant mothers and their babies the care they deserve.
In this role, you will perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets, and assist physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. You will document exam findings, generate preliminary reports, and review studies with interpreting physicians.

Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with OB/GYN specialty or equivalent certification.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience performing detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including multiple gestations.
- Ability to assist with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- Proficiency in ultrasound reporting and image archiving systems.
- Knowledge of universal precautions and OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets, acquiring anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for physician interpretation.
- Assist physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- Accurately document exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in ultrasound reporting and image archiving systems.
- Generate clear, comprehensive preliminary reports for interpreting physician review and final signature.
- Review completed studies with interpreting physicians to communicate findings and support diagnostic accuracy.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by verifying identity, reviewing history, and ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment and recognize malfunctions, taking appropriate corrective action.
- Rotate to other locations as needed to cover sonographer absences.
