Join Essentia Health's accomplished Sonography Team in Duluth, MN, and become part of a Level 1 Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Our NEW St. Mary's Medical Center is a 380-bed facility with 24-hour emergency and critical care, ranked #5 out of 143 hospitals in Minnesota for 2022-23.
In this role, you will provide diagnostic ultrasound scans of patients for physician diagnosis, utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment and appropriate technical knowledge. You will work in a dynamic hospital environment where accuracy and patient comfort are paramount.
You will collaborate with a dedicated team of sonographers and physicians in a supportive, fast-paced setting. The role offers exposure to a variety of cases in a top-ranked Minnesota hospital, with opportunities to refine your skills in abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging.

Requirements
- Graduation from a CAHEA accredited program in sonography
- Registry eligible by the ARDMS
- Registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of hire
- Must be certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months of hire date (those assigned to Ashland location not required to obtain Vascular certification)
- If working in Department MSK Ultrasound, must complete ARDMS MSK Certification within 24 months
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic ultrasound scans of patients for physician diagnosis
- Utilize diagnostic ultrasound equipment with appropriate technical knowledge and skills
- Perform scans in a Level 1 Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 24-hr emergency and critical care
- Work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain call obligation as required by department scheduling
