Perform vascular diagnostic ultrasound testing of extracranial, peripheral and visceral vascular systems at VHVI Non-Inv Diag Vascular. Collect data and provide documentation of test results for reading physicians. Work with the adult population at MCE.
Review medical records, obtain history, and perform physical exams pertinent to vascular disease. Perform duplex/Doppler exams per policy and procedure. Provide preliminary results in the electronic medical record and notify physicians of significant abnormal findings.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and obtain technical support as needed. Demonstrate novice proficiency in vascular sonography under direction. Possess intermediate skills in diagnostic equipment, patient documentation, and compliance.

Requirements
- Vascular Sonography (Novice): sufficient fundamental proficiency to demonstrate in practical applications of moderate difficulty
- Diagnostic Equipment (Intermediate): knowledge to find and resolve problems using diagnostic tools without support
- Patient Documentation (Intermediate): mastery in practical applications of a difficult nature without requiring support
- Compliance (Intermediate): knowledge to apply rules in difficult situations and direct others
- Ability to review physician orders and obtain clarification as needed
- Ability to perform duplex/Doppler exams per policy and procedure
- Ability to provide final report data for reading physicians
Responsibilities

- Maintain appropriate care of all ultrasound equipment
