About this role

Acuren is seeking a Carded Radiographer to support operations in Davenport, IA. This will be a callout/travel position, requiring flexibility to work at various client sites. The role is critical to ensuring structural integrity through nondestructive testing.

Responsibilities include setting up and utilizing nondestructive test equipment, assisting radiographers in calibrating equipment, and conducting tests to detect discontinuities. You will record inspection results and assist in performing NDT procedures while carrying equipment. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • 40-hour radiation safety certification (must be a carded radiographer)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Technical background desired
  • Must have experience, credentials, and history to be certified as trustworthy and reliable per federal and state regulations (determined by background check)
  • Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol and background screening per client requirements

Responsibilities

  • Set up and utilize nondestructive test equipment
  • Assist radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment
  • Assist radiographers in conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods
  • Record results of inspections
  • Assist in performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment, and other operations
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
  • Travel to various client sites for callout assignments as needed
