About this role
RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologist, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
You will screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions using two patient identifiers. You explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, perform routine and advanced procedures on designated portions of the body, and adjust scan parameters correctly as needed while providing patient support throughout.
You follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations while maintaining patient records within the Radiology Information System. You maintain an orderly and clean work area with sanitized equipment and keep scanners in good working order through regular cleaning and disinfecting after each use.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
- Certification in imaging specialty
Responsibilities
- Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination using two patient identifiers
- Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scans
- Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed while providing patient support throughout the procedure
- Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment and maintain equipment in good working order
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades and assist in the training of new team members
