Support a robust structural heart program with procedures including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation, and alcohol septal ablation. The Cardiovascular Imaging Lab is accredited by the IAC in both Echo and Vascular Imaging. Work at a variety of locations including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and clinics in the Madison area.

Work Monday–Friday day shift with variable start times, plus Saturday and Sunday shifts 8:00AM–4:30PM on rotational basis at University Hospital. Participate in one-hour call response time rotation with other sonographers. The team supports coverage across the Madison area with hours varying based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ultrasonography program (Required)
  • Registered in vascular ultrasound (RVT or RVS) (Upon Hire Required)
  • Basic Life Support/CPR (Upon Hire Required)
  • Completion of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasonography training program (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences (Preferred)
  • 2 years of vascular imaging experience (Preferred)
  • Registered in vascular and echocardiography ultrasound (RVT or RVS and RCS or RDCS) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide optimal cardiovascular imaging experience as part of dynamic team
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology for structural heart program procedures including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements
  • Support Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient, family, and visitor experiences
  • Work across Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility, and Madison area clinics
  • Cover rotational weekend shifts 8:00AM–4:30PM and on-call with one-hour response time
