Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
- Registered Vascular Sonographer/Technologist (RVT or RVS)
- New graduates awaiting registry have 18 months from date of hire to obtain
- Knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment
- Ability to perform carotid, peripheral, and abdominal vascular studies
Responsibilities
- Perform non-invasive cardiovascular testing for all ages
- Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations using state-of-the-art equipment
- Assess arterial and venous blood flow with Doppler studies
- Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and test results
- Collaborate with radiology specialists on testing protocols
- Ensure comfortable and considerate patient atmosphere during procedures
