This full-time CT Technologist position at Atrium Health University City offers a night shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates. As a key member of the radiology team, you will perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include operating CT equipment to produce diagnostic images, positioning patients accurately, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan. You will also be responsible for maintaining imaging records, preparing contrast materials, and following strict radiation safety protocols.

You will work within a dedicated radiology department at Atrium Health University City, collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and accurate results. The role requires participation in a call and holiday rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage for the community.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT (CT) or registry-eligible.
  • Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in North Carolina.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to lift and position patients weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Proficiency in operating CT scanners and related imaging software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Position patients correctly and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting minor issues as needed.
  • Administer contrast media under the direction of a radiologist, monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff exposure.
  • Document patient history, scan parameters, and image data accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in on-call and holiday rotation to provide after-hours imaging coverage.
  • Assist radiologists during interventional CT procedures when required.
