Join Emory Healthcare, one of the nation's leading Atlanta hospitals in cardiology, heart surgery, cancer, and neurology, as an MRI Technologist. This PRN role offers flexibility to work varied hours while you operate MRI equipment to produce scans for diagnostic exams in the MR suite.

In this role, you will provide quality patient care to patients having MRI scans, communicating and explaining various procedures to the patient and family. You will adhere to all safety requirements for magnetic safety, process required paperwork, and ensure rooms are stocked and ready.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Must be registered with the ARRT
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry objects up to 25 lbs
Capable of occasional to frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)

Responsibilities

Operates MRI equipment to produce scans for diagnostic exams in the MR suite
Provides quality patient care to patients having MRI scans, communicating and explaining various procedures to the patient/family
Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety
Processes all required paperwork, maintains knowledge of supplies, and stocks rooms
Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care
Assists with patient and family education
May support or assist in research and related activities
Performs other related duties as required
