St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer for the Diagnostic Imaging department located within the Edgewood Hospital. The role supports diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Perform cardiovascular studies using specialized equipment alongside top providers in the field.

Perform, record, and report Non-Invasive Vascular and/or adult Echocardiography procedures. Both echo and vascular sonography may be performed during a normal workday. The position provides flexibility in staffing sites with modality needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines
  • Registered in Cardiac or Vascular Imaging from ARDMS or CCI
  • Obtain second registry within 24 months of employment
  • New graduates given consideration to achieve IAC minimum study requirements
  • New graduates obtain first registry within 1 year of employment
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and pathology for diagnostic imaging

Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiovascular studies on patients that support diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease
  • Record and report Non-Invasive Vascular procedures using specialized equipment
  • Conduct adult Echocardiography procedures using specialized equipment
  • Provide flexibility in staffing sites with modality needs
  • Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors, and employees
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images of cardiovascular structures
  • Prepare patients for non-invasive vascular and echocardiography exams
