About this role
As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. You ensure effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers, especially in the mobile environment. When required, you train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and/or MR Technologist Assistants.
Your specific duties include pre-screening patients for contra-indications and using aseptic injection technique, with possible oversight of remote MR Technologists Assistants. You produce high-quality diagnostic images while operating multiple MR systems. You demonstrate ability to use all channels of communication to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
You effectively communicate with customers and radiologists in a dynamic team setting. The role may involve working at several locations with local travel required. Strong customer service supports interactions in this radiology-focused environment.
Growth opportunities include training new staff on site or remote, building expertise in magnetic resonance imaging. Organizational and multi-tasking skills aid in managing diverse responsibilities. This position supports diagnostic imaging in a specialized medical imaging team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract
- State license, if applicable
- CPR Certification
- Valid state driver’s license, as applicable
- For technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled more than 6 months in accredited MRI training program
- MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required
- Ability to work at several locations with local travel
Responsibilities
