In this role, you will provide quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all MRI equipment. You will position patients for diagnostic imaging according to department procedures, operate imaging equipment, and use computer image processing to select and optimize images for the radiologist.
You will work at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, East County's full-service hospital that offers advanced imaging, a modern emergency department, and a welcoming family birth center. Requirements
- Competency in the field of MRI.
- Ability to position patients for diagnostic imaging according to department procedures and machine requirements.
- Skill in operating imaging equipment and setting exposure factors and technique.
- Proficiency in using computer image processing to select and optimize images.
- Ability to process and present images and related patient information to radiologist.
- Capability to assist with patient transport using standard procedures.
- Attention to detail for gathering complete documentation and labeling images with demographic, position, and other needed documentation.
- Knowledge of department and hospital procedures and policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all MRI equipment.
- Position patients for diagnostic imaging according to department procedures, training, and machine requirements.
- Operate imaging equipment, determine and set exposure factors, and set technique to ensure accurate and quality images with minimal repeat rates.
- Use computer image processing to select and optimize images.
- Process and present images and related patient information to radiologist for diagnosis.
- Assist with patient transport by moving patients using standard procedures.
- Gather complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
- Identify patients by checking ID, full name, and medical record number according to department procedure.
